Meet Janki and Rajal

Janki and Rajal, two sisters we met seven years ago, have undergone an incredible transformation since then. When they first connected with us, they stood at the gates, curious and hesitant.

At first they struggled, often seen aimlessly wandering around the center in dirty, unchanged clothes due to their challenging home environment. They initially connected with a volunteer who was working in the office, and they would come sit with her during the day.

Gradually, we established a daily routine for them at the center. Our teachers and staff members forged strong bonds, patiently nurturing them. Despite initial difficulties in enrolling them in school and addressing basic hygiene and family communication, our persistence paid off. Over the span of seven years, their journey has been remarkable.

Initially struggling to sit in class or engage academically, they now comfortably fit in with their peers, displaying a commendable focus on their studies. Regular school attendance and improved manners showcase their dedication. The volunteer they initially connected with is now sponsoring their family with one-on-one mentoring to ensure they maintain good grades and receive some extra love and care. The personalized attention they received from our dedicated staff, volunteers, and one-on-one mentoring have played a pivotal role. In a family environment lacking affection, this attention has been vital for their progress.

Change took time, but the team's collective effort has yielded extraordinary results. Witnessing Janki and Rajal’s life-changing transformations stands as a testament to the power of persistence and compassion, which ignite the sparks that already exist in all of our children.
